GloHydro Dataset

GloHydro is the first globally comprehensive, spatially explicit inventory of hydropower facilities identified using remote sensing, encompassing 12,640 hydropower plants across 8,330,487 rivers worldwide (each exceeding 0.5 kilometers in length).

This dataset provides high-resolution, spatially explicit coverage of global hydropower infrastructure, enabling analysis, planning, and climate-aligned decision-making.
